This policy covers our website only. It does not cover the medical billing, credentialing, and consulting services we provide to healthcare provider clients, which are governed separately by service agreements and, where applicable, Business Associate Agreements under HIPAA (see “HIPAA and Protected Health Information” below).

**Information you provide directly.** When you submit a form on the Site — for example, to request a free billing review — we collect the information you enter, which may include your name, practice or organization name, email address, phone number, specialty type, state, EHR or billing software, approximate monthly claim volume, and any details you share about your billing challenges.
**Information collected automatically.** When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information through cookies and similar technologies, including:

– Pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring/exit pages

## HIPAA and Protected Health Information
IOU Billing provides medical billing and related services to healthcare providers, and in that capacity may handle Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA on behalf of our provider clients. That handling is governed by Business Associate Agreements with those clients — not by this Privacy Policy.
This Site is not intended for patients to submit health information, and you should not include any patient information, medical records, or other PHI in any form on this Site. If you are a current client needing to send PHI to us, please use the secure channels we’ve established with you directly rather than this website.
## Data Retention
We retain the information submitted through our contact forms for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of our analytics provider.
